Active Efforts by Cities to Protect Migrating Birds

Two stories in the news indicate how two large cities are working to make their buildings less hazardous for migrating birds.

In Chicago, the effort is focused around a light-out program, according to a newspaper article about saving birds that have struck buildings, and efforts to get building owners to turn out their lights.

In Toronto, a "green-building standard retains bird-friendly measures," according to the news article.
