Wild Pigeons at Bellefontaine in Ohio

The multitude of these feathered esculents that has visited our country this Spring, has provided quite an unexpected source of revenue, to the people in the southern part of the county — the birds being snared and shot by the thousands of dozens and shipped to New York and other points. Parties from N.Y. , and Michigan are here to capture and buy — and thousands of dollars have already been realized by our citizens. One of the New York men snare sixty-five dozens in one forenoon.
