Numerous Flocks of Wild Pigeons - Pennsylvania

Numerous flocks of wild pigeons have been visiting this place and the adjacent country, within a few days past, affording excellent sport for the fowler, whose success is always certain, owing to the myriads which he encounters. Many dozen taken in nets, were brought to market during the week, which were rapidly disposed of at five cents per pigeon. The number flying around seems not to be diminished, although their southerly migration, n doubt, will soon be resumed. — Miners' Journal.
