Jasper Clark, of the Laporte house, came down from that place yesterday (Thursday) and reports the woods as being literally filled with wild pigeons. They made their first appearance there last Sunday morning, since which time they have been coming in by the thousands until the county is alive with them. Yesterday morning they were flying thick and he saw one flock while on his way here that was not less than half a mile in length. Should no snow storm drive them away, they will, he says, remain several weeks. They pass over the town so low that one can easily bring them down with a gun at almost any point in the place. Here is a chance for sport. Hugesville Journal.
