The Walker Lake Bulletin says: Last week immense flocks of wild pigeons flew southward over Fish Lake Valley. This movement of pigeons at this season has never been observed before, and it is supposed that somewhere in the north they experience a sudden cold wave which led to their southward journey. They were in such numbers that the sun, for a time was obscured as though by clouds, and the birds perspiring from the intense heat caused a drizzle similar to rain to fall for over an hour on McNett's ranch and other places near the upper end of the valley.
